Job description, responsibilities and duties
- The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting and bookkeeping processes. This includes handling accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, fixed assets, and payroll.
- The role ensures compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulations, and involves reviewing and reconciling balance sheet accounts.
- Coordinate with external auditors during financial audits.
- Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff, identify opportunities for process improvements, and stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and standards.

Personality requirements and skills
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required,
- With a minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting roles.
- The candidate must have comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles and standards, with a preference for IFRS, and proficiency in accounting software.
- Knowledge of ERP systems such as QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle.
- Strong organizational and time management skills are crucial for this role.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities, meticulous attention to detail and accuracy, and a proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with the capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team, are also required.
